Dr. Priyabrata is an ex- IRS officer, has worked under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in formulating policy for India. He is currently the Chief Advisor of the Implementing Agency, National 20 Point Program, Government of India. He is Member, Policy Group, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, in Wholesale Price Index, Manufacturing, Services, reforms, etc. working jointly with NITI Aayog, Reserve Bank of India and other Ministries. He is currently the Asia Chairman of US Asia Business Forum, headquartered in California, USA, a common platform of businessmen across US & Asia with global reach. He is also Senior Executive Advisor, as well as Global Director of Zurich headquartered IMCI Group International, which has been adjudged as the best investment group of Switzerland, by World Economic Magazine. Dr. Priyabrata has worked extensively with World Bank and IMF. He was one of the key persons in formulating the Digital Economy & e-commerce Policy for India, currently in vogue, for protecting Indian Companies, Entrepreneurs, and start-ups against the monopoly of MNCs, desirous of capturing the entire Indian Market. As a member of the core group, he was involved in formulating the format of the 7th Economic Census of India, carried out by Ministry of Statistics & Program Implementation.

Dr. Priyabrata has written a book on how to fulfill the Hon'ble Prime Minister's dream of taking India to a $ 5 trillion economy. The book entitled ‘How to Reach $ 5 trillion-A Practical Approach’ lays down the optimum path to achieve this goal. Emphasis has been placed on giving more importance to the MSME sector in India, by modernizing it, marketing their products through digital economy platforms, energizing this sector through capital infusion at low interest rate through FDI, more involvement of MSME in District Development Plan formulated by Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
